Patient was to be reviewed 2 weeks after initial treatment. Turned up after 3 years. The distal canal had a Nice layer of Dentin. I left it alone. Should I have gone in?
That is an interesting case. Leave well enough alone. This will be interesting to follow up. Hopefully the patient will be committed to long-term follow up.
At the second visit, are we seeing gross leakage/decay? Was patient symptomatic? So no dental visits after your first visit for three years? Is that GI that you placed at initial visit?
‘Patient was to be reviewed 2 weeks after initial treatment. Turned up after 3 years’ ā Wow, three years is a long gap! Iām curious what I would do in that situation, considering the ‘Nice layer of Dentin.’ Maybe Sand Tetris would be less stressful, haha!

Thanks Dale!
