23 YF presented with pain and clinical signs of GP inside the buccal aspect of the gingiva around tooth #11 (FDI). The scan shows the buccal perforation with two GP points and an apical finding. Initially we removed all GP fragments internally and repaired the internal aspect of the perforation with SDR and interim CaOH was placed into the true canal. Second visit, the patient was asymptomatic and the surgical phase involved repairing the perforation defect with Geristore. The RCT was then completed and the access was closed with resin. Patient was very happy with the aesthetics at the follow-up and no- probing was evident at the perforation site through the buccal marginal gingiva. I hope this turns out well long-term.

Not sure the Geristore buys you anything special here—regular flowable will work too, I think.
What helps this case is the level of interseptal bone on the adjacent teeth. I think Super K would want to see PRP over the defect :-))……

Thanks GBC. Lately I have been turned off by Geristore as I find it stays very rough and not much difference after polishing. I used it here simply as an availability heuristic, but have now switched to flowable resins. It’s also way cheaper here in Canada. Nice to see you at IAE!
Nice case Viraj. I’m a fan of Shofu BeautiFil Flow Plus No Flow. It doesn’t slump (thus the “No Flow”) and you can guide it into place as you’re expressing it out of the syringe.
