How to actually use the Gonon/Ruddle post removal system

Don't use the trephines.
Taper the post in the microscope with a round-ended, tapered diamond like the 856-016 in the CK diamond access kit.

Use the 856-016, 859-010 needle diamond to cut away all the coronal restorative that would interfere with rotation of the post.
Taper the post with the diamond.  Tap ( using the left-handed tubular taps.  Look closely on the handle to make sure you're turning it the right way.  Most cases, with a threaded post, it can simply be unscrewed.
With the last few pics, against the hemostat…we see how much of the post was engaged by the tubular tap.
The trephines are pretty much a terrible idea.  You cut the post down, weaken it, leave a sharp angle, and then the piece comes off inside the trephine, then you buy an new trephine.  Good for Ruddle I guess.
