MIE Even Works on the Tough Cases

Case I–Here is a case that comes to mind: The pulp status was abscessed with a buccal sinus tract. The 3/4 crown was recently placed. The margins leave something to be desired, but there was adequate seal. My access was minimal, and the final shape of the canals was, again 17/.04. The treatment was a completed in just over four months with two CH changes. The sinus tract had healed at the second visit, although the clinical image was taken at the Post OP appointment. The one year recall showed almost complete healing.

Case II–Here is another necrotic case with a PAL, and symptomatic. The case was initiated in December of 17, and completed three months later, with an interim CH change. Patient was asymptomatic by the second appointment. I obturated with I saw sufficient osseous healing. The access is “somewhat minimal given the angulation of the tooth and the amount of opening the patient could tolerate. However, the canal final shapes are, again, 17/.04 VTapers.
