Setup Insurance Information

– For Canadian users, the insurance companies are already entered in TDO.
– Open the Insurance tab and from any patient’s chart, click on the plus sign next to the pick carrier dropdown to add the insurance company.
– Add the insurance name and billing address, including city and state.
– From the dropdown, add the Payer ID.
– TDO has most Payer IDs already on file.
– Click save and close.
– To add another insurance company, repeat the process.
– In case you cannot find the Payer ID, you will need to add the new one.
– From Setup, go to Program Setup, then Payer ID.
– Before adding a new one, check the list by clicking A to Z or Z to A to ensure the ID is not available.
– Use the next available empty line to add the new Payer ID.
– Close the window to save your changes.
– Once the new Payer ID is entered, it will be available under the insurance information window dropdown.
– Type the insurance name to find the Payer ID.
– To modify insurance information, go to the main tab and click Insurance Tools, then View/Edit Insurance Company Information.
– Search for the insurance company and correct the Payer ID.
– You can make other changes as well.
– Close the window to save your changes.
