Template Designer and Valid Reply setup

Access the SMS Template Designer
– Click on the Comms menu (the pillar icon at the top right corner of the screen)
– Select ‘SMS Template Designer’

Explore Existing Templates
– On the left under Templates, click to view the content of each existing template
– TDO provides multiple ready-to-use templates for operations, billing, and marketing

Edit an Existing Template
– Click ‘Edit’ to modify a template
– Adjust fields such as arrival time and save changes
– Use the ‘Add Field’ icon to insert tokens like practice name

Create a New Template
– Click the plus sign in the Template Designer
– Add a name and select a category to organize your list
– Optionally select a default query if using the template for batch messages
– Queries are predefined for accurate results

Configure Allowed Replies
– Use the ‘Allowed Replies’ setting to define valid responses
– For example, for appointment confirmation, include replies like Y, Yes, C, N, No
– These replies are not case-sensitive
– If no allowed replies are set, automatic confirmations will not work

Use the Valid Reply Designer
– Go to the Comms menu and select ‘Valid Reply Designer’
– View and modify pre-configured replies that trigger actions in TDO
– To add a custom reply, click the plus sign
– Add the SMS action, a brief description, and the reply text
– Click ‘Save’ to store the new valid reply

Link Valid Replies to Templates
– Return to the Template Designer
– Edit the desired template and select the new valid reply
– Save the template and close the SMS Template Designer

Final Notes
– Most commonly used messages and valid replies are ready to use
